			ASIA's Fanart Update - Color experiments...last year/this year

	Color experiments...last year/this year
	We spent the entire weekend to plant shrubs on our yard. Our next door neighbor has 2 outdoor cats, and a miniature Schnauzer. She lets her dog out on our yard with no leash nor supervision, and this dog BARKS like crazy. Once she gets outside, she never stops barking until we disappear. This dog also poops on our yard and other's... Well we tolerated her dog for past 5 years, but now we have Princess things have changed. When that dog comes out and starts barking, Princess can't do her business. Of course the best solution would be the partial fence, but it would be too pricey. So we went to Lowe's and bought 10 Silverberry shrubs. They are supposed to be very fast growing and will grow up to 10x10 feet. Right now they are very tiny but hopefully they will grow very fast. We are so not yard people, and digging these tiny hole on the dry ground was a heck of a job. We were all sore this morning (=_=) Second pic is hubby practicing on his drum pad, letting Princess get used to the noise slowly before he will start practicing his real drumset upstairs. .. Oh and the roof guy came yesterday and things are all fixed up \(^_____________^)/ I was just looking at my old color experiment series, back from July last year. I used to use a lot of pastels back then. ...... These are the color experiments I have done this year. I think I am improving on my coloring skills slowly but surely, compared to last year. Sometimes I do get pretty discouraged with my arts (I think everyone does, regardless of their art skills), but every once in a while it's good to stop and compare my arts to before and get myself encouraged to keep going \(^_________^)/ .............. . And last but not least, Artemis wrote the fic "Chasing Tail" inspired by the "Lime" pic, thanks! (^________^) Tags: fanart_gw, other

Wow, the colour practice of this year is so much more. :) Backgrounds and mostly whole figures - very nice to look at. Thanks for sharing!

I was definitely trying to achieve different goal compared to the last year's series. Sometimes it seems to be a snail speed of skill progress (at least to myself), but I am glad I am moving forward (^_^)

Has it really been almost a year since the last color set? Time is flying by! I like both sets. The first was a bit more simple, but still very pretty. This year's set is a lot more detailed.

Good luck with the shrubs. I hope they grow quickly for you.

I know! I can't believe it has been that long...it seems like forever ago though, I have drawn a lot since then. I guess it's a good thing (^_______^)

wow, i can't believe the first line of pics is from last July! I feel like you were just posting those! I guess your art stays fresh in my mind :D
wow, this year's pics are very detailed in comparison, but I still love them all! It's cool to see your progression of pics! there is so much heero/duo goodness on this page! its all so yuuuuummy! XDDDD

good luck with the neighbor's dog. (and your own, too! :D) I hope your trees grow up fast and strong this summer!!

I see a lot of improvement from July to now. You've also changed styles somewhat as this year's has a lot more background color.

I used to primarily use Pastels on the background, but now I am more keen on using all watercolor pencils (^_^)/"

I do see a big change, though there's something to be said for the focus on the first set being on the guys. I think I'll always have a soft spot for that first one... Gold? I adore their expressions. ^____^ So much pretty in one place! I spent ten minutes hovering over them!
And the fic was very sweet! Went with the picture very well.

That's true! In the first series I didn't know what to do with background other than smearing color...in newer one I wanted to do little more so it included more part of the body (^_^)

neighbors who don't mind their pets are so aggravating! I hope the bushes grow super fast!

I love all the colors *rolls in them* Although the sepia one is still my favorite!!

She is talking about getting a 2-year-old Labrador now... "They are supposed to be very good with kids you know" Oh yeah but I KNOW you are not good with kids nor animals, please don't get any more! (>_<;;)

My personal favorite is the water, because it was just little different way of coloring for me and it was fun to try (^O^)/"
