Yes the tree that has been on our roof for past 2.5 weeks got finally removed today! The tree guy supposed to come to remove it never showed...he had some equipment down and completely canceled on us, so we had to get the new guy. Even our lawn guy that was supposed to cut our grass on Saturday got delayed and didn't show up until today. Everything is getting delayed on us... (^o^;) They actually both showed up today, which was already great all by itself *LOL*
So this was before... ..
They brought one of these bucket truck thingy to reach the tree top, tied the tree to the other tree for leverage to pull the tree off the roof using their truck, then chopped it down. It was pretty neat to watch! We told them just to throw these wood pieces in the trees behind our backyard, so they don't have to carry them in their truck. They even moved the big tree stump into the woods for us, too. .......... .
Ta-da! It's totally gone. It almost looks like there was absolutely no damage. Actually there were few shingles that did get very minor damage, so we called a roof guy to take a look at it. ..
Entire April was just filled with tiny *incidents* and frustrated me to death..now things are calming down, I am hoping to be able to draw more (^O^)/"
Wait I am going to Japan in 2 weeks...I have been totally forgetting about the trip (>_>)
Yay!! I'm glad the tree was finally removed. It is good that you called a roof guy to check the damage to the shingles. You definitely do not want your roof leaking when it rains. *hugs*
Nothing is more exciting than heavy machinery!! *grins* I would've been out there giddily watching them, I think there's seriously something wrong with me.
Yay! No more squished house! And pretty cool that they were nice enough to drag the other stump away too. We're looking at having to have a tree cut down because it's splitting and we're afraid it's going to fall on the neighbors house, but the first estimate was $600. For one tree! And we have to get rid of the wood! >_<;;
They lifted the fallen tree and cut another tree, chopping both of them down completely, and moved the big stomp, and all for $600. He was great! (^O^)/" We called another guy and he was going to charge us $700 for just moving the fallen tree and not cutting up etc....
